After the Parliament appointed current Prosecutor General Shalva Tadumadze to the post of the Supreme Court judge, the position of prosecutor-general has become vacant.

The post of his Deputy is also vacant, because Mamuka Vasadze also was approved for the Supreme Court.

The list of candidates to be discussed by the Prosecutorial Council is not yet known.
