Shmaxi drivers held a rally near the Ministry of Internal Affairs building.
They are demanding the cancellation of a GEL 200 fines, which up to 80 Schmaxi drivers received without having any information about the issue.
As they say, a change was made about 2 months ago. It turns out that the use of logos that look like a taxi banner should be fined.
Schmaxi drivers appealed to the MIA to cancel GEL 200 fines, but their demand was denied.
“About a month ago, the Tbilisi City Council amended a resolution stating that any sign that could be perceived as a taxi sign would be subject to a fine. We knew nothing about these changes. As a result, we were fined. We demand the deadline for Schmaxi to replace banners till the end of January”, - said the leader of Girchi Zurab Japaridze.
