Forest fire in Ateni Gorge - 20 firefighters are combating the blaze

A fire is ravaging parts of the forest in the vicinity of the village of Ormotsi, the Ateni Gorge. The complex terrain is making fire-extinguishing efforts difficult to carry out.

According to the Emergency Management Service of MIA, 20 firefighters are combating the blaze.

Thick smoke is billowing from the forest fire at this point.
