Russian Senator Grigory Karasin responded to the release of Vazha Gaprindashvili. According to him, this fact creates a good mood for the New Year.

“Doctor Vazha Gaprindashvili’s return to his home before the New Year creates a good mood and we hope that the new 2020 will be more constructive both in the relations between Georgia and South Ossetia and in the region as a whole.

I hope that in the New Year Georgian political forces will have no reason to intensify hostility towards Russia and other partners and we will move to a new benchmark in our relations”, - told Karasin to Russian media.
