The National Statistics Office presented a preliminary assessment of economic growth

The National Statistics Office (Geostat) presented a preliminary assessment of economic growth.

According to them, Georgian gross domestic product (GDP) grew 6.4% in November 2019 compared to the same period of 2018.


In November 2019 the estimated real growth compared to the same period of the 2018 year occurred in manufacturing, transport and storage, construction, wholesale and retail trade, repair of motor vehicles and motorcycles.


A decrease was registered in real estate activities and in the arts, entertainment and recreation activities.


Georgian external trade turnover increased to $11.5 billion in January-November 2019 show preliminary data of Geostat.


According to preliminary data, 3,898 new enterprises were registered in November 2019, which is a 1.3% decrease compared to November 2018.
