Population of Georgia has decreased by 14% in 12 years

The preliminary results of the census are known. For November 5, 2014, the population of Georgia has decreased by 14% in 12 years1 and is now 3 729 635 people.

According to reports, the decline is significant in the villages, where the population has decreased almost by 24 percent, the number of city residents has increased by 6.3%

At the moment, the urban population is one million 118-thousand , while the rural population is only one and a half million.
