Several villages in the mountainous Adjara do not enjoy free insurance any longer.
According to patients, they were not informed that for five days already the hospital services are to be paid for.

In Khulo, Keda and Shuakhevi starting from April 25 i by the universal health care program for inpatient services s no longer being provided. The reason is that the medical corporation "Evex" has withdrawn from universal insurance several components.

In urgent cases, patients are transferred from the mountainous regions to Batumi Referral Hospital.

Today it was announced that the corporation "Evex " will soon be replaced by another company in high mountainous areas

The Chairman of the Adjara Government said that meanwhile the cost of services will be funded by the local government from the reserve funds.
Similar problems may facethe population of Imereti and Kakheti.
