Majority member Karlo Kopaliani leaves the Parliament. As it known, a member of the parliamentary majority has been elected Chancellor of the Georgian Technical University.

Kopaliani will take up the post from January 20. Before that he will have to quit his MP mandate. The 34 members out of 35 of the Academic Council supported Kopaliani’s candidacy in the elections.

It is expected that Kopaliani will be replaced by Giorgi Chakvetadze.

As Chakvetadze told Kurieri, the decision has not been made yet and information will be announced in the coming days.
