Lawmakers spoke with the representatives of the State Security Service behind closed doors about the humanitarian crisis and the tense situation in the occupied regions.

Opposition lawmakers also attended the meeting.

“There seems to be an internal confrontation in Abkhazia and Russia is trying to resolve this issue. Georgia has no resource to influence the status quo in occupied territories of Abkhazia”, - said Salome Samadashvili, deputy chairman of the parliamentary faction United National Movement.
