Tbilisi City Court left Irakli Okruashvili, leader of Victorious Georgia, in custody.
According to the Prosecutor Giorgi Mukbaniani, the court considers changing the preventive measure once a month, and since there were no new circumstances in the case, the judge left him in custody.
At today’s trial, the prosecution had three witnesses - two investigators and press center employee of the MIA.
Vakhtang Iashvili, the lawyer of Orkruashvili, said that Bidzina Ivanishvili demanded Okruashvili to stay in custody: “The prosecution mainly cites witnesses who have nothing to do with Irakli Okruashvili and were merely on the same territory”.
The defendant himself did not attend the trial. The next hearing scheduled for January 23.
