One person detained in Tbilisi for money counterfeiting

The Investigation Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia detyained in Tbilisi one person on suspicion of money counterfeiting.

According to the investigation, the accused forged US $50 banknotes in Tbilisi. Investigation Service of the Ministry of Finance seized a total of $16 550 worth banknotes.

The investigation launched under the second part of Article 212 of the Criminal Code of Georgia. The crime is punishable by imprisonment for the term of 7 to 10 years.
