The investigation must be launched, political motives may be revealed. Such a statement made the Public Defender of Georgia while commenting the fact of physical confrontation between UNM member Levan Khabeishvili and Georgian Dream members of the Tbilisi City Council.

“This is a criminal incident. I expect that the investigation will be launched - the victim is a member of a political party. There may be political motives in this case. We pay a particular attention to the similar cases. Elections year started and if there is not a very strong response to this fact, unfortunately, we will have a very difficult year ahead”, - said Nino Lomjaria.

A physical clash took place during the Revision Commission sitting at Tbilisi City Council. Levan Khabeishvili, a member of the UNM, received injuries.

Khabeishvili said that the clash was payback for his statement made with one of the national TV companies about the slavery work of the Sakrebulo cleaning staff for 8-GEL daily salary.
