Paata Imnadze, the Head of the Scientific Board at National Center for Disease Control, says the 22-year-old girl, who arrived in Georgia from China on January, 16, and showed the symptoms of a viral infection, is not infected with coronavirus.
According to Imnadze, the girl, who is the citizen of Georgia, returned from one of the Chinese provinces when no case of coronavirus was confirmed outside Wuhan province in China.
He added that the young woman is being monitored to determine the type of the virus she had been injected with.
Imnadze said that the girl got a viral infection from family members. However, it is unknown at this stage exactly what type of virus she has. The patient is treated at home, and her condition is not severe.
Today, January, 28, several media sources reported that a Chinese woman was found with symptoms of Coronavirus in one of the villages of eastern Kakheti region.
