2015 will be the year of the woman in Georgia- announces the president of the country. Giorgi Margvelashvili made announcement at the meeting with representatives of religious confessions.  He also discussed his view on the facts of  violence against women in Georgia.  The religious leaders condemned the facts of violence. They agreed to create the council which will collaborate on the long term action plan. The aim of the plan will be to prevent Violence against woman.  The president  has also supported the initiative of  religious leaders to announce next year as the year of women.
