First comments of a Georgian sailor from the shelled ship. Gocha Shervashidze said that the damaged ship was being transferred to a Turkish port.

One of the crew members, Gocha Shervashidze, said in a telephone interview that the situation was normal at that time.

"We are sailing to one of the Turkish ports. All Georgians are well.We were surrounded by flames and did not have any support, "- said Gocha Shervashidze .

According to his wife, sailors are asking for help. Maritime Transport Agency officials say that everything is done to bring six citizens of Georgia to their homeland.

According to the director of the Maritime Transport Agency, Mamuka Akhaladze, either the vessel will be towed to the nearest port, or the crew will be evacuated. He also noted that at that time there was no reason to panic.

The ship sailing under the flag of Turkey came under fire from the air near the sea port city of Tobruk. The Captain was killed, several members of the crew were wounded.
