The President of European Bank for Reconstruction and Development is in Tbilisi.

The President of EBRD reiterated the importance of holding an annual meeting in Tbilisi and expressed the hope that the International Forum will produce results, both for the hosts and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development.

"As for the economic situation, of course, as well as the entire region, the Georgian economy is facing problems. The situation in Russia has had an impact on the situation in the countries of the region, but I believe that the government is taking the right steps in order to stabilizethe situation , "- said Suma Chakrabarti.

Suma Chakrabarti with his wife arrived in Georgia yesterday evening. The visitors were met at the airport by the Minister of Finance. Prior to the official opening of the annual meeting, EBRD-"s president will hold bilateral meetings with the President as well as Prime Minister and members of the Cabinet.
