Bread’s prices must not rise, since there are no preconditions for rising the prices, - said today the Minister of Environment and Agriculture Levan Davitashvili.
“I would like to underline that bread’s prices must not rise, it’s very important. Although we have seen slight fluctuations in wheat prices and some increase in the same Black Sea basin countries, this is temporary event and this temporary event is insured by the state within its compensation program.
We are offering the importers and the flour producers compensation to keep the price of flour as of March 10, in order to maintain the price of flour for the bread industry. Together with the bread industry representatives we agreed that bread price must not rise if there are no preconditions for it”, - said the Minister after the meeting with the representatives of the bread industry
