The President of Georgia made a video call with her Azerbaijan colleague Ilham Aliyev.

As Salome Zourabichvili said, solidarity at all levels, including regional, is much more important in the new situation created in the world today.

The President thanked Ilham Aliyev for the act of solidarity carried out yesterday and noted that the lighting of the Heydar Aliyev Center in Azerbaijan in the colors of the Georgian flag is an expression of support for Georgia and the best message of solidarity. Ilham Aliyev praised the measures taken against COVID-19 in Georgia.

Zourabichvili expressed hope that the difficult situation caused by the coronavirus will end quickly, regional visits will be a priority on the renewed political agenda, and the visit of Aliyev to Georgia will take place.
