Georgia expects an additional 40 000 tests on Monday. Such a statement made today the Minister of Health. She added that the country continues multi-stage testing for coronavirus, including rapid tests and Polymerase chain reaction (PCR) tests.

“As of today, we have a complete set of more than 10 000 PCR tests. We expect an additional 40 000 tests on Monday. By the beginning of May, the number of PCR tests will be filled up to 100 000.

At this stage, more than 5 000 rapid tests have already been used in Georgia. We have distributed 9 000 tests in hospitals, where both patients and the staff are tested”, - concluded Ekaterine Tikaradze.
