The main driving force of our economy is the development of a strategic plan, which has already been completed. Such a statement made today the Prime Minister of Georgia.

According to Giorgi Gakharia, economic revival is becoming the number one priority of the Government.

“Economic revival, economic opening and post-crisis management are becoming the number one priorities of our government, but we will have this opportunity only if the Ministry of Health effectively manages the epidemic situation.

This is critically important, and at the same time, every citizen should understand that new things, not very pleasant ones, such as masks and social distancing, are becoming part of our life. I reiterate this because it is the only way and means for us to compete economically and to be effective in terms of economic recovery.

The Ministry of Economy adopted a strategic plan just a few days ago, which is aimed at restoring the tourism sector as the most affected and one of the most important driving forces in our economy. As far as I know, this plan is already ready and we will discuss it in the coming days and will present it to our society”, - said the Head of the Government.
