The “National Movement” has summoned the Prime Minister of Georgia to the Parliament in the interpellation format.
The opposition parliamentary faction wants Giorgi Gakharia to give answers as to why the poverty in the country has not been reduced, what was the impact of the Government’s mistakes on the deteriorating social situation and what measures the government is taking to correct it.
At the same time, the UNM faction wants to hear from the Head of the Government about the current situation in terms of child poverty in Georgia and how it intends to reduce the poverty of pensioners amid rising prices and the depreciation of the national currency rate in the country.
“If he does not arrive, Giorgi Gakharia will violate the Constitution of Georgia once again. If he does not arrive, Giorgi Gakharia will tell the needy Georgian citizen that he is not interested in their poor condition”, - said Tina Bokuchava, a member of the United National Movement.
