The Ministry of Foreign Affairs says it will respond appropriately to the decision of social networking site TikTok to separate occupied regions of Georgia as independent units.

“The protection of Georgia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity is a top priority for the Foreign Ministry. We always respond to the facts of referring the occupied regions of Georgia as independent units by certain subjects / organizations.

There are a number of examples when, as a result of the work of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the incorrect definition used on various websites regarding the occupied territories has been changed. We are working on the issue of the social network TikTok in order to rectify the shortcomings on this site similar to the other previous cases”, - reds the statement of the Ministry.
