The Georgian government has decided not to prolong the State of Emergency and a nationwide curfew in the country. Such a statement made today the Prime Minister of the country Giorgi Gakharia during the Government’s meeting.
“Today, we have 8 new cases of COVID-19 infection in Georgia. 224 people are being treated in the hospital at the same time. Of course, we all understand that after this global pandemic, the challenges are getting even more difficult, but at the same time, we all understand that it is our duty to return our country to normal life slowly, rationally, and very carefully”, - said the Head of the Government.
The State of Emergency has been declared in the country until May 22.
