Financing of the health system in 2012 was 332 million GEL, now it stands at 1 billion and 76 million GEL. Such a statement made today the Prime Minister of Georgia during his speech in the Pariament.

According to Giorgi Gakharia, starting from 2012, the 1/3 of state budget has been directed to social costs.

“Since 2013, kindergartens have been free of charge and parents do not have to pay for school textbooks.

There was time when health system did not exist as a structural unit, and people have to sell houses to cover cost of a surgery for a child or a family member”, - said the Head of the Government.
