The second viral wave of coronavirus can be expected October – November. Such a statement made today the Deputy Minister of Health Tamar Gabunia.

“The second viral wave of coronavirus can be expected in October or November if the seasonal outbreak theory proves right. We are preparing to avoid a crisis and the escalation of the situation in the healthcare system. Our prime objective will be to slow down its spread to the maximum possible level”, - said the Deputy Minister.

The Head of the Center for Disease Control also added that we should seriously prepare for the possible second wave of COVID-19 in the autumn.

“There has been a noticeable increase in cases lately. But it does not matter though what the daily tally will be as we must seriously prepare for the autumn”, - said Amiran Gamkrelidze.
