The source of one of the 9 new cases confirmed in the last 24 hours is unknown. Such a statement made the Clinical Director of Tbilisi Infectious Hospital.

“We’ve 9 new coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours. There were 3 more recoveries. At this stage, there are 127 patients getting treatment in the COVID centers. From the 9 newly emerged cases 3 were detected in the medical personnel, another 3 from the mandatory quarantine spaces (imported cases) while 2 were the contacts of previously confirmed cases. The infection source of one person remains unknown in Tbilisi. Epidemiological research is under way. There were 4 unsourceable cases yesterday, 1 was added today. It’s not easy, when the source is unknown an epidemiological research starts - identifying the patients’ contacts, examining those contacts, then switching to contact persons’ contacts if the infection is detected - it"s a quite painstaking process”, - said Marina Ezugbaia.
