According to Anri Okhanashvili, the chairman of the Committee on Legal Affairs, fines will be used when more than 10 people gather for weddings, christening, anniversaries, and funeral services.

“There is a fine of GEL 2 000 against a natural person, a fine of GEL 10 thousand for all persons present, as well as for a legal entity. Restrictions would be valid until July 15”, - Okhanashvili said.

He also noted that the ruling team and Ministry of Economy are working on a plan to hand over certain number of medical facemasks to the socially vulnerable people so that their purchase is not a burden for them.

“The number will not be big taking into consideration the resources of the government but the state will hand over facemasks to the socially vulnerable population”, - added Okhanashvili.
