If someone’s goal is to get us involved in this aggressive policy, we will not do that. Such a statement made Mamuka Mdinaradze, the leader of the parliamentary majority, while commenting on the statement of Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov.
“We are cooperating intensively with our international partners with regard to similar issues. We provide them with information and ask to respond. This aggressive rhetoric, often coming from the high-ranking Russian official, is aimed at harming Georgia’s interests. In general, aggressive rhetoric has never served Georgian interests, and we have often see its consequences against the Georgian state. So if someone’s goal is to get us involved in this aggressive policy, we will not do that.
We will act in the interests of the Georgian state. Therefore, we will work with our international partners on the threats and this aggressive rhetoric, and we are not going to follow the opposition’s narrative and start useless aggressive rhetoric”, - concluded Mdinaradze.
