Following the statement of the President of the European People’s Party, Donald Tusk, who called on the Georgian authorities to release Giorgi Rurua, the former aide to the Secretary of Defense of the U.S. also posted a statement on Twitter.
“Georgian Dream has shown an admirable willingness to compromise, and now it should release opposition leader Giorgi Rurua and pass constitutional reforms. Georgian democracy is strong and will benefit from competitive elections this October”, - twitted Michael Carpenter.
