The Committee on Legal Affairs of the Parliament supported the constitutional amendments. The amendments were supported by all 11 members.

The sitting was attended by members of the parliamentary majority and the independent MPs’ faction, as well as MP Eka Beselia.

The constitutional amendments will be discussed in the first reading and voted on at the plenary session on June 21.

Members of the opposition - United National Movement and European Georgia - did not attend the sitting.
