The Minister of Internal Affairs, Vakhtang Gomelauri, held a farewell meeting with the head of the Council of Europe Office in Georgia, Cristian Urse, who is completing his five-year mission in our country.

Gomelauri thanked Urse for successful activity in Georgia, major contribution to the development of the country’s democracy and fruitful cooperation between the Council of Europe and the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia.

It is noteworthy to mention that with the help of the Council of Europe, the MI has been reinforced in many crucial areas - the fight against discrimination and hate crime, the fight against cybercrime, the fight against violence against women, etc.
