Salome Zourabichvili expresses concern over armed conflict on border between Azerbaijan and Armenia

The President of Georgia released a statement and expressed concerns over the 12-13 July armed conflict at the Azerbaijani-Armenia border.

“Today, when we are all fighting against an invisible enemy, international solidarity and maintenance of global stability are of utmost significance. Peace and safety in the region are critical for the development and wellbeing of Georgia as well as Azerbaijan and Armenia”, - reads the statement of Salome Zщurabiсhvili.

She hopes that “the necessary measures will be taken in a timely manner and further escalation of the situation will be avoided through peaceful negotiations”.
