Out of 24 new coronavirus cases, 10 recorded in Gardabani. Such a statement made today the Medical Director of the Infectious Diseases Hospital.

“Out of 24 new cases, 7 are imported, 5 represent contacts of confirmed cases, 10 were recorded in Gardabani Municipality and the source of infection into 2 cases is undetermined. Out of 7 imported cases, 5 are truck drivers. A total of 188 patients continue medical treatment at COVID Centers.

Our peak periods were always connected to one big cluster. The situation is the same now. I don’t want the situation to go further. We now have two clusters in Gardabani municipality. There are 4 villages with more than 7 000 inhabitants. The rise in cases was probably expected because of the new source.

The checking of this municipality will continue and if the inhabitants observe the regulations, I don"t see it going further than this cluster", - said Marina Ezugbaia.
