There is a sharp increase of the new coronavirus cases in the country in recent days. Such a statement made today the Prime Minister of Georgia.
“Yesterday there were 24 cases, today 12. Unfortunately, there has been a sharp increase in the new cases of infections in the country in recent days, which is noteworthy.
The Government fully controls the situation, but more attention is needed. The recent spread is mainly concentrated in several villages of Gardabani. It is noteworthy, considering that the many citizens from these villages work in the markets and fairs of the capital.
We already decided to tighten control over the markets and fairs. It will be thermal screening and testing. Active testing will be conducted in the villages. The headquarters has decided to be prepared for tightening of quarantine measures at specific locations in the case of further aggravation of the situation”, - said Giorgi Gakharia.
