The US Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2021 once again expressed the strong and unwavering support for Georgia, writes the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia in Facebook.

“The document contains strong messages of support for Georgia’s territorial integrity, Euro-Atlantic integration, country’s defense capabilities. It addresses Black Sea security issues, highlighting Georgia’s special role in the region and the need for further U.S. efforts to assist in both security enhancement and resilience in addressing existing threats.

It is noteworthy that the versions of both chambers of the document are identical in its assessment and without any conditionality, emphasizes the depth and strength of cooperation with Georgia.

We can say that the versions approved by both the Senate and the House of Representatives are a clear expression of the strong support for bilateral relations by the U.S. Congress and reaffirm the close strategic partnership.
