The final version of the document has put an end to the opposition’s speculation and attempts to bring in narrow-party interests in US-Georgia relations. Such a statement made today the Minister of Foreign Affirs.
“This was support towards Georgian sovereignty and territorial integrity - the support towards Georgia’s European, Euro-Atlantic integration. There is support for strengthening defense and security and as well as, naturally, support for strengthening Black Sea security.
The bill emphasizes a special regional role of Georgia which has an exceptional function in terms of strengthening the region’s security. I would like to reiterate that the Senate’s Defense Act version is a truly unconditional support of Georgia’s role in the region”, - said Davit Zalkaliani.
