The Minister of Defense congratulates citizens of Georgia on the Independence Day from Afghanistan.

The minister underlined  the contribution of those heroes who sacrificed their lives for freedom.

" One century ago, on May 26, 1918 the following words were written in the  Act of Independence : From now on Georgian people has sovereign rights and Georgia is plenipotentiary, independent state.  These are  not just words, this  is an idea, which is much more than a specific document written in one phrase.

This is the idea of sovereignty, independence, our freedom, the idea for which generations have fought and sacrificed themselves. Our desire for  freedom and sovereignty unites Georgian people,"- said Tina Khidasheli.
