The president congratulated the soldiers stationed in Kutaisi on Independence Day. President visited the Third Infantry Brigade.

The commander-in-chief`address started with a minute of silence in the memory of soldiers who died for the independence of Georgia.

After the event, the President had a dinner with the family members of the fallen soldiers.

"Our country is standing firm because there were the people, the soldiers, who did not spare their lives for our fatherland. There will be difficulties and challenges in the future will be, but the present and future generations will have successful moments. Georgian army is the foundation of our nation"s strength. Georgia is a free, independent, democratic country , free to choose its own future and it will be even more powerful and will be reunited, "- said the President.
