We must once and for all get out of the habit of using the tragedies of specific people, families, for the purpose of asking politically motivated questions, said the Prime Minister in response to the journalists’ question concerning the cases pertaining to the deaths of Giorgi Shakarashvili and Tamar Bachaliashvili.
Giorgi Gakharia responded to the claim voiced by representatives of the media, according to which Tamar Bachaliashvili’s family does not trust the investigation, by stating that he has not heard anything like that.
“We must not use these grave human tragedies, this is unethical. Let the police and the Prosecutor"s Office conduct the investigation in a normal manner. If open question marks remain after the investigation - the media are free in this country, the right to expression is free, and no one has ever been restricted by anything. We have met many times and talked about many issues but we must once and for all get out of the habit of using the tragedies of specific people, families, for the purpose of asking politically motivated questions”, - said the Head of the Government.
