NGOs talk about informal governance in the country

15 non-governmental organizations have presented a 2-year report on the work of the Goverment - the public sector has remarks regarding informal governance and appointments in public services based on political affiliations .

"The country is still facing the challenge of informal governance, which in turn affects the functioning of democratic institutions," - explains the Executive Director of "Transparency International - Georgia" Eka Gigauri, .

A similar position has the Executive Director of "Open Society - Georgia"

"Serious challenges remain. For example, signs of informal ruling . In this case we are talking about the impact of the former Prime Minister on the government`s decisions, which, we hope will be reduced with time ," - said Ketevan Khutsishvili.

The head of the government`s administration does not agree with these remarks.
"We are confident that the country is ruled by institutions, not individuals, as we had it before. As for the lack of co-ordination, we think that the government is coordinated, agencies are working properly. Of course, we want to be better at everything, but do not agree with teh criticizm expressed in such a form, "- said Maia Tskitishvili.
