Government is ready to schedule special charter flights to bring observers to Georgia. Such a statement made today the Speaker of the Parliament.
“Our aim is to bring as many observers as possible to enable them to evaluate our elections positively and to see that Georgia is really strengthening its democracy and holding democratic elections. We set up a working group for this purpose 2 months ago and made amendments to the law to define the basic principles of safety. We also distributed responsibilities. Therefore, there is full readiness to bring as many international observers as possible. As soon as international monitoring missions and organizations make a decision to bring additional representatives to Georgia, we will take adequate responsive steps”, - said Archil Talakvadze.
