The President of Georgia addressed international organizations, the UN and the EU, as well as the Co-Chairs of the Geneva International Discussions and asked to use all available means to prevent escalation of the situation in the occupied territories of Georgia, especially in the Tskhinvali region.

Salome Zourabichvili stresses that the social and humanitarian situation in the occupied territories is constantly and rapidly deteriorating, human rights are systematically and grossly violated, Cases of deaths in illegal prisons in the occupied territories are frequent, as well as physical and psychological violence against the local population.
