The Parliament has approved amendments to the Electoral Code in the third reading, with 81 votes against 1.
According to the amendments, coercion and intimidation of the voter, as well as violation of the secrecy of casting a vote shall be prohibited and shall result in criminal liability of the violator. In particular, the above actions shall be punishable by a fine, house arrest from 6 months to 2 years or up to 3 years of imprisonment.
