Parliament to discuss the decriminalization of marijuana

The initiative of MP Goga Khachidze about marijuana decriminalization will be discussed at the bureau session today.

According to the bill, a small amount of illegal purchase - possession or use of matijuana without doctor"s prescription is released from criminal responsibility.

Users also will be fined by 100 GEL instead of 500 GEL.
The initiative is supported by the National Movement. Free Democrats and Georgian Dream MPs think the issue should be resolved on the basis of consultations with experts.
