The officers of Mtskheta-Mtianeti Police Department under the Ministry of Internal Affairs, as a result of investigative activities detained the citizen of Russian federation, V.G. (DoB 1980) in Kazbegi for premeditated murder.

Committed crime envisages from 7 to 15 years of imprisonment.

Investigation established that on September 14 f the current year, during the conflict that took place near “Dariali” border crossing point, father of V.G. (A.G. DoB 1956) received health injuries, from the side of A.M. (double citizenship of Russian Federation and Georgia, DoB 1981) owning to which, A.G. died.

After the mentioned incident, on the basis of vengeance, son of the late A.G. (V.G.) inflicted multiple injuries with a cold steel and blunt object to A.M. which resulted in his death.

Police managed to detain V.G. shortly after the crime took place as a result of immediate police activities.

Investigation is in progress on the fact of premeditated murder, crime envisaged under the article 108 of the Criminal Code of Georgia.
