"Do not arrest!" - The decriminalization of marijuana demande across the country

Opinions vary regarding the liberalization of the law, but only that part of the citizens will express their opinion at the rally tomorrow, for whom imprisonment because of marijuana is inadmissible . The civil society members will be holding a rally demanding the termination of criminal prosecution and decriminalization of marijuana in front of the chancellery.

Social movements and non-governmental organizations in addition to Tbilisi are planning to hold rallies in Batumi, Zugdidi, Kutaisi and Bolnisi.

The legislators have also begun work on the issue of decriminalization. The consideration of MP Goga Khachidze"s proposal, which instead of imprisonment, provides for fines, was started today at the bureau session.
