Niko Pirosmani’s masterpiece "Arsenal Hill" to be given to the art museum

Former Prime Minister of Georgia Bidzina Ivanishvili has purchased Georgian painter Niko Pirosmani’smasterpiece "Arsenal Hill" for a million and a half USD, - the 2030 organization posted on Facebook.

“The painting will be returned to Georgia,”- reports the organization.

Pirosmani created the painting in 1907-1908. It belonged to a private collector before going to auction.

The painting was last sold at the London auction at the end of 2010. Prior to that, the canvas was sold at Sotheby"s auction in 2007.
