The healthcare system is fully prepared to manage the process. Such a statement made today the Prime Minister of Georgia.

“We contained the spread of the virus very effectively, through the earlier, strict restrictions which allowed us to get our health system ready for the adaptation and management stage of the virus.

Our medical personnel have been retrained and we are able to test a large number of people on a daily basis. 112 service and fever centres around the country are working effectively and instead of only Lugar Lab, which was able to test people for the coronavirus at the early stage of the virus, there are 200 labs now around the country which can do the same job. Instead of daily 200 PCR tests, we can today conduct 9,000 such daily tests”, - said Giorgi Gakharia.
