Kindergartens will be opened on October 12 throughout Georgia, excluding the Adjara region. The corresponding decision was made at today"s session of the Interagency Coordination Council.

“Kindergartens across Georgia, except for the Adjara region, as most of the newly infected cases of COVID-19 have been recorded in the region in the recent weeks, will reopen on October 12”, - said the Minister of Education, Mikheil Chkhenkeli.

A month ago, Georgian Prime Minister Giorgi Gakharia announced that kindergartens would be opened on October 1 in Georgia, though, because of COVID-19, the Government had to postpone the date of the opening.
