Detective’s assistant - investigator of the Adjara Police Department died from COVID-19

Detective’s assistant - investigator of the Adjara Police Department under the Ministry of Internal Affairs – B.J. (DoB 1969) died in the Fever Center of Batumi Republican Hospital.

Police officer was diagnosed with Covid-19 caused by the novel coronavirus on October 1 of the current year. He was undergoing medical treatment at the Batumi Republican Hospital and was the carrier of concomitant diseases, such as: pneumonia, ischemic heart disease, and diabetes.

The body of the deceased police officer has already been transferred in full compliance with Covid-19 regulations and will be buried within the established time frame.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs would like to express deepest sorrow in connection with the fact and extends its condolences to the family, relatives and employees of the deceased.
